Dr. Cynthia Wu is an associate professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology at the University of Alberta Hospital. She completed her Medical School and Internal Medicine residency training at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton. She then completed a Hematology fellowship followed by a 2-year Thrombosis fellowship at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Her research focus is venous thromboembolism with a special interest in cancer-associated thrombosis. Dr. Wu is the director of the Cancer Associated Thrombosis Clinic run out of the Kaye Edmonton Clinic which she created in 2014. She is also the director of the Thrombosis Elective Rotation for trainees.
