Dato Dr Gurcharan Singh

Dato’ Dr. Singh, commonly known as Dato’ Guru, is a veteran sports medicine physician with over 26 years of involvement in sports medicine and anti-doping programs in Malaysia and internationally. He Chairs AFC Medical Committee and Hon. Director, Medical Department, AFC. A registered sports medicine physician on the National Specialist Register, Ministry of Health, Malaysia and admitted to the Academy of Medicine, Malaysia, has contributed vastly towards the development of sports science and medicine in Malaysia and Asia through education, conferences and research.

He is a member of FIFA Medical Committee & FIFA TUE Advisory Group; FIFA Panel of Instructors for Sports Medicine and F-MARC. He is credited for the formation of Society of Sports Medicine, Malaysian Medical Association and launching the international postgraduate sports medicine programs.
