David Baring MBBS, FRCS, Orl-HNS, Dip, MedEd

Mr Baring is a Consultant ENT Surgeon working in Edinburgh. His particular interests are ear disease, including balance problems, and paediatric ENT as well as general ENT. He runs regular specialist clinics in vertigo, paediatrics, tinnitus and otology. Mr Baring is the only ENT surgeon in Edinburgh seeing paediatric patients and continuing their care into adulthood. This is of particular relevance in ear disease where the approaches to disease alter with maturity. In addition he is developing an Adolescent service for ENT in the NHS to aid the transition from Paediatric to Adult care in all areas of ENT. Mr Baring has an particular interest in Medial Education with additional postgraduate qualifications. This involves developing teaching modules for Medical students, Junior Doctors and other Medical specialties.
