David Castro-diaz PhD

Dr. David Castro-Diaz is Professor of Urology at the University of La Laguna and Consultant Urologists at the University Hospital of the Canary Islands, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain. He received his medical degree from the University of La Laguna (Canary Islands, Spain) in 1979. He was Resident of Urology at the University Hospital of the Canary Islands between 1980- 1984. Dr. Castro-Diaz completed his training in the UK and USA. In 1990 he was appointed as Full Professor of Urologist at the University of La Laguna. His main clinical and research interest is focused on Voiding Dysfunction and Female Urology.

He is a member of several international scientific societies and editorial boards. He has been Scientific Chairman and Vice-President of the Spanish Association of Urology and member of the Board of the European School of Urology (Education Office of the European Association of Urology). He also served as Spanish representative at the European Board of Urology and Chairman of the EBU Residency Review Committee. At present he is a member of the panel of the EAU guidelines for Neurogenic voiding dysfunction and the International Consultation on Incontinence.
