David Eagle, MD, is president of the Community Oncology Alliance (COA) and partner in Lake
Norman Oncology, Mooresville, North Carolina. Dr. Eagle also advocates for comprehensive
Medicare coverage of cancer therapies through his current position as the Carrier Advisory
Committee representative for Oncology in North Carolina. With broad experience in the
management of both cancer and blood-related disorders, Dr. Eagle is board certified in internal
medicine, hematology, and oncology. While in medical school, he served as president of the
University of Virginia Student Medical Society His journal publications include "Gastroparesis
Following Bone Marrow Transplantation," and he has been a keynote speaker at the annual
Community Oncology Conference, as well as an invited lecturer to the state conferences for the
North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians where he has lectured on both anemia and hemochromatosis. Dr. Eagle earned his MD from the University of Virginia, and performed his
internal medicine residency and hematology oncology fellowship at the University of Florida.
