David Wilber, MD, FAHA, FACC, George M. Eisenberg Professor of Medicine and director, Electrophysiology Section and Cardiovascular Institute, Loyola University Medical Center. Dr. Wilber received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He completed his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of Michigan Hospitals and a fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Massachusetts General Hospital.
His career clinical and research interests have focused on risk stratification and prevention of sudden cardiac death, and mechanisms and ablation of ventricular tachycardia and atrial fibrillation. He has been named annually to Top Doctors in Chicago and the US since 2001. Dr. Wilber is the author or co-author of more than 500 original articles, book chapters, and abstracts, and has served on the steering committee for several multicenter clinical trials.
