David Kleinfeld received his Ph.D. from UCSD and was a Member of the Technical Staff at the former AT&T Bell Laboratories prior to joining the faculty at UCSD. He is a recipient of a David and Lucile Packard Foundation Interdisciplinary Science Award, an NIH Directors Pioneer Award, an NINDS Research Program Award, and currently holds the Experimental Biophysics Endowed Chair through Physics. David is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He currently leads the Specialization on Computational Neuroscience through the Neurosciences Graduate Program.
