David McGreevy is a resident in vascular surgery at the department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at Orebro University Hospital.

His research is primarily related to the use of Resuscitative Endovascular Balloon Occlusion of the Aorta (REBOA) within traumatic hemodynamic shock. Ongoing projects are on the prehospital use of REBOA to minimize bleeding, stabilize the patient and save time for definitive surgical treatment.

David also does research on the metabolic and inflammatory processes that occur with claudication intermittent and its treatment.

Other research areas are the development of surgical methods for arteriovenous fistulas and critical ischemia as well as the innovative development of blood pressure monitoring. He is also peer-reviews articles for scientific journals and has been an invited speaker at local, national, and international scientific meetings.
