David Okai MRCPsych MD(Res) PGDip(CBT) is a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist in the Department of Psychological Medicine, Psychiatry Oxford University NHS Foundation Trust, UK, and Clinical Lead for the department.
He trained in Psychiatry at the Bethlem and Maudsley Hospital, where he also undertook a diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). He was a Neuropsychiatry Fellow at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience where he designed and evaluated the first PD-specific, semi-structured interview, to cover the full range of PD impulse control behaviours, and was involved in the evaluation of a CBT-based randomised-control trial, managing impulsive compulsive behaviours in Parkinson’s disease.
