David Frankel MD, FHRS

Dr. David Frankel is an Associate Professor of Medicine and the EP Laboratory Director at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Frankel completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He then returned to Penn for fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and cardiac electrophysiology and joined the faculty in 2011.

Dr. Frankel's research on ventricular tachycardia ablation and pacing-induced cardiomyopathy has been published in Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, JAMA Cardiology, and other leading medical journals. Prior to joining the Board of Trustees, he chaired the Education Committee. He was selected by the Pennsylvania Medical Society as one of the Top 40 Physicians Under the Age of 40.
