Deepak Agrawal MD, MPH, MBA

Deepak Agrawal is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, and Director of Endoscopy at Parkland Hospital. He is a founding member of the Parkland Center for Healthcare Innovations and Clinical Outcomes (PCHICOS).

Dr. Agrawal completed Internal Medicine Residency from Case Western University, Cleveland gastroenterology fellowship at Brown University, Providence followed by advanced endoscopy fellowship at Case Western. He earned Master of Public Health degree at the Harvard University and Masters of Business Administration at University of Texas, Dallas. After completing his training, he joined the faculty at UT Southwestern in 2009.

Dr. Agrawal currently balances his time between patient care, research, and teaching. His clinical and research interests are in advanced endoscopy and pancreatobiliary diseases. He is also very interested in researching, promoting and implementing value-based care, improving efficiency and reducing costs of care.
