Dr. Dennis L. Cooper, MD joined Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey as Co-Director of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program in January 2016 after spending more than 30 years at the Yale Cancer Center. Prior to joining the Medical Oncology Faculty, He did an internship, residency, and fellowship at Yale-New Haven Hospital and spent one year at the University of Pittsburgh as a Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. He became the Director of the Yale Stem Cell Transplant Program in 1997 and remained in that position for over 15 years. In addition to caring for patients undergoing autologous and allogeneic transplants, his major areas of clinical expertise are multiple myeloma, Hodgkin lymphoma, and non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
