Dennis Von Heimburg MD, PhD

Prof. Dr. med. Dennis von Heimburg is a specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery with the additional name Hand Surgery. In September 2016, after many years of membership and great commitment, he was elected President of the Association of German Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons ( VDAPC ). Prof. von Heimburg is not only one of the top surgeons in the field of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in this country, he is also one of the renowned specialists internationally and is therefore regularly represented as a speaker at specialist conferences in Germany and abroad. In the World Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery - ISAPS) he officially represents Germany since 2010 as national secretary. In addition, since 1999 he has been a Fellow of the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery ( EBOPRAS ) as well as an adjunct professor at the RWTH Aachen University.
Prof. von Heimburg completed his studies in human medicine at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and at Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA. After completing his doctorate, Prof. von Heimburg began his further education as a specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery in Frankfurt and Aachen. In 1999, he graduated with a German and European specialist title. During this time he also completed foreign scholarships, including in Houston, USA and in Ghent, Belgium. From 1997 to 2003, he took over the management of the Aesthetic Surgery and Breast Surgery Clinic at Aachen University Hospital. During his training, he received many national and international prizes for his research and clinical work.
