Dennis Weaver MD, MBA

Dennis Weaver, M.D., MBA, is the Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Advisory Board and Advisory Board Solutions. Dr. Weaver leads an enterprise-wide team focused on critical health care issues, including strategy and operations to reduce unwarranted clinical variation, as well as the strategy, development and implementation of accountable payment, value-based care and physician alignment models such as Accountable Care Organizations (“ACOs”) and Clinically Integrated Networks (“CINs”). In his work with Advisory Board Solutions, Dr. Weaver provides customized, holistic, transformational solutions focused on large-scale return on investment for our health system partners.
Dr. Weaver is a Certified Physician Executive, Diplomat of the American Board of Medical Management, Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Member of the American College of Physician Executives, and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Weaver has received numerous awards and honors for his work in clinical medicine, medical management and technology integration. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio. Dr. Weaver earned his Master of Business Administration from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, and is a Distinguished Graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. He also trained in Flight Surgery at the Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine.
