Desiree M. J. Vrijens PhD

Desiree Vrijens works as a urologist at the Maastricht University Medical Centre. Her specialty is functional and neuro-urology. In 2017 she finished her Ph.D.: in "Dysfunctions of the lower urinary tract and affective symptoms" and has a special interest in the interaction between the brain and bladder. She is currently active in research concerning this relation but also in Sacral Neuromodulation research. In addition, she has a post as a university teacher at Maastricht University.
