Dimitri Christoforidis completed his medical studies in Lausanne before specializing in visceral surgery at the CHUV, Sion, and Minneapolis (University of Minnesota). He won his title of Swiss specialist in surgery in 2005, the European EBSQ title in coloproctology in 2009, and the title of Swiss specialist in visceral surgery in 2011. He joined the Lugano Regional Hospital as an associate doctor in 2011, then as an assistant doctor. (vice-primario) since 2014.
