Elias J. Anaissie MD

Dr. Anaissie joined CTI over 5 years ago as a medical director, bringing with him over 35 years of clinical, research, and academic experience. Prior to joining CTI, Dr. Anaissie served as Professor of Medicine and Deputy-Chair, Attending Physician, Director-Cancer Supportive Care, and Medical Director for the Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). He also served as Director of the Program in Hematological Malignancies and BMT at the University of Cincinnati while simultaneously working as an attending physician in the department of hematology/oncology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Dr. Anaissie received his medical degrees from Paris XII University in Paris, France, and St. Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon. He then completed post-graduate training at the American University of Beirut, first within the internal medicine program and then specializing in hematology and oncology. Dr. Anaissie then completed three years of training at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, where he also served on the clinical faculty for 9 years. “Dr. Anaissie is an exceptional member of our team at CTI and we are thankful for his hard work and look forward to all of his future contributions to our team and our sponsors’ projects,” says Dr. William Aronstein, VP Global Medical Affairs.
