Elissa R. Price MD

Elissa Price, MD, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology in the Breast Imaging section at the University of California, San Francisco. Since July 2011, she has served in the Breast Imaging Division and has been a member of 9 departmental committees. Dr. Price obtained her medical degree from the University of Toronto Medical School in 2004, and completed her residency in Radiology at the University of Toronto Medical School in 2009, followed by a fellowship in Breast and Body Imaging from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in 2010.

Dr. Price has a keen interest in medical student education and is committed to the development of UCSF’s breast imaging fellows. Dr. Price has ongoing projects in which she leads studies evaluating BIRADS 3 category on breast MRI, breast MRI-ultrasound correlation, and screening mammography in the 40-49 year old cohort. Dr. Price’s research interest is in the use of genetic profiling of breast cancer, on which she has written an educational abstract that was accepted for presentation at the RSNA in March 2012.
