Emily Parker is an epidemiologist with over 15 years of experience in healthcare research and analytics spanning academic, health system, pharmaceutical, and public health settings. She has extensive experience leveraging large administrative databases, electronic medical records, surveys, and publicly available data for research examining chronic disease management and outcomes, patterns of care, comparative effectiveness, and burden of illness studies.

Dr. Parker is an expert in retrospective and prospective study design, research methods, and advanced analytics. As a methodologist, her work has focused on conducting robust research to generate evidence in support of improving disease recognition, management, and treatment, as well as patient safety.

Dr. Parker received her master’s and doctoral training in epidemiology from the University of Minnesota where she was a pre-doctoral fellow on an NIH/NHLBI training grant in cardiovascular epidemiology and biostatistics. She has over 50 publications in the peer-reviewed literature, including high-profile venues such as JAMA, JAMA Internal Medicine, the American Journal of Epidemiology, and the American Journal of Public Health.
