Dr. Eric Norton Feins following his training in adult cardiothoracic surgery and pediatric cardiothoracic surgery joined the staff at Boston Children’s Hospital. He is actively involved in all aspects of congenital heart surgery, with clinical focuses on neonatal heart surgery, heart valve repair surgery, and complex biventricular repair operations.

His research efforts are focused on pediatric cardiac surgical device development. Currently, there are limited ways to accommodate a child’s normal growth when performing congenital heart surgery, particularly heart valve repair operations.

Dr. Feins has invented growth-accommodating device technology for use in pediatric heart valve repair – aiming to enhance heart valve repair strategies while also allowing a child’s heart valves to grow.

Dr. Fein's research interests are Cardiothoracic Surgery, Congenital Heart Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Lung Diseases, Neonatal Heart Surgery, and Heart Valve Repair Surgery.
