Espen Rostrup Nakstad is a doctor, lawyer, author, and assistant director of the Directorate of Health. As a law student, he was involved in the "European Law Students Association" where he participated in the preparations for the establishment of the "International Criminal Court", which was established in 2020. Nakstad has a medical doctorate from UIO and is a specialist in internal medicine and strategic planning for international organizations. He usually works as a senior physician and researcher at the Department of Emergency Medicine at Oslo University Hospital, where he leads the CBRNE. He has been central to the preparation of professional guidelines for the health preparedness area CBRNE center and has represented the specialist health service, among other things, in the Oslo police district's local rescue management.
