Dr. Francesco received his MD degree and Specialized in Gastroenterology. He did fellowship in gastroenterology at Chicago University. He is a registrar gastroenterology at the Groote Schuur Hospital, University of Cape-Town, South Africa. He did Japanese-spoken PhD at the Hirosaki University, Japan. He has been granted a Fellowship by the Japanese Ministry of Science at the National Cancer Center, Tokyo, Molecular biology stage at Welcome-Beecham Labs. of London, and at GoodGene Lab. in Korea.

He is Hon. Research Professor at Dept of Nutrition & Food Science, Texas University, USA and visiting professor in gastroenterology, oxidative stress, aging and nutragenomics at major asian universities. For 10 years he had directed a research center in Japan and cooperates with Nobel Prize Prof. Luc Montagnier. He is the editor and board member of over 25 PubMed-listed medical journals. He has received several international prizes, the last being the Genomic Pioneer Award 2009.

He is the Co-founder of the research group ReGenera which is working on an innovative model of preventive/regenerative medicine. He has co-edited a successful book on aging-intervention and some book chapters on probiotics and vitamins and co-founder of the research group ReGenera which is working on an innovative model of preventive/regenerative medicine.
