Giorgio Lo Russo MD

Dr. Giorgio is graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1977 from the University of Turin, he obtained a specialization in Neurosurgery in 1982 and in Neurology in 1987. He is a Researcher at the Institute of Neurosurgery of Turin until 1993, he trained and worked abroad mainly in Paris (Service de Neurosirurgie - Hôpital S.te Anne 1989 -1990; Prof. Talairach Prof. Bancaud) and Grenoble (Service de Neurosurgery Prof. Benabid) where he devoted himself to stereotaxic and functional neurosurgery and in particular to epilepsy.

He contributed to the start of the Epilepsy Surgery program in Grenoble (Dir .: Prof. AL Benabid) and to the birth of the Milan Center following prof. Munari. Since 1993 he has been working at the Munari Surgery Center of Epilepsy and Parkinson's of Niguarda, of which he became director.
