Dr. Giovanni Paolino graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He obtained a specialization in Dermatology and Venereology at La Sapienza University of Rome. He attended the Pierre et Marie Curie University of Paris, in the Dermatology and Venereology department.
He is the author of about 150 scientific papers published in international peer-review journals, 3 book chapters, and 2 editorials. For his scientific activity, he has won 1 national prize and 2 international prizes. He has participated in numerous national and international congresses as a speaker and is a reviewer of international medical journals.
He has always mainly dealt with Oncological Dermatology, carrying out general prevention and follow-up activities in patients diagnosed with melanoma and other skin tumors.
He has dealt with dermatological problems and skin manifestations in pediatric patients with lymphoproliferative diseases and rare hematological diseases.
He studied inflammatory and tumoral skin histopathology at the skin histopathology laboratory of the San Gallicano Institute in Rome.
Currently, at the San Raffaele Hospital, he deals with general dermatology and above all with oncological dermatology, carrying out checks on patients with a diagnosis of melanoma, as well as dermatological prevention activities through snow checks and computerized digital video dermatoscopy.
He is completing a Ph.D. at La Sapienza the University of Rome, with a project aimed at studying circulating exosomes in patients with melanoma.
