Gunnar Folprecht MD, PhD

Dr. Gunnar Folprecht is head of the outpatient unit for medical oncology at the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus, Dresden (Germany), which had been selected as one of the four first Centers of Excellence in Germany by the German Cancer Aid. He studied medicine in Würzburg and Dresden and received his training in Medical Oncology and Gastroenterology at the University Hospital of Dresden. His scientific focus is clinical research of Colorectal Cancer and multidisciplinary treatment of cancer patients, especially with liver metastases. Dr. Folprecht is a member of several scientific organisations including the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and a board member of the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) GI group. He is a Coordinator and National Coordinator of several studies in adjuvant treatment or in the treatment of metastatic colorectal Cancer.
