Heidi Thompson MSN, RN

Heidi started her nursing career at UTMB in Galveston in 2005 as a GN in the Infant Special Care Unit. She later moved to Children's Memorial Hermann in the NICU 4, serving as a Nursing Shift Coordinator and ECMO Specialist and a Nurse Manager for Acute Care Pediatrics for 9.5 years. She joined Texas Children's Hospital in 2015 as a Patient Care Manager in the NICU. Heidi received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, and her Masters of Science in Nursing Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership from UT Health San Antonio. Heidi is a dedicated clinician who is passionate about CLABSI prevention, improving the relationships between the interdisciplinary team and enhancing the workplace environment.
