Hendrik Lehnert

Prof. Lehnert, professor at the University of Lübeck and director of the Medical Clinic I of the University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein, Lübeck campus, was elected by the University Council in Salzburg on February 25 after the public hearings and a complex procedure. The physician and psychologist succeeds Prof. Heinrich Schmidinger, who has held the office since October 2001.

Prof. Lehnert was President of the University of Lübeck from 2014 to 2017 and during this time he significantly shaped the further development as a life science university. The University Presidium congratulates Prof. Lehnert on his election, thanks him for the trustful cooperation and wishes him all the best for his new position.
