Dr. Ingrid Ganske joined the cleft and craniofacial team at Boston Children’s Hospital as an attending physician in 2016. She comes to the field of plastic surgery from a background in design, having studied architecture at Princeton University and worked in an architecture firm in New York City before deciding to pursue a medical career. She now focuses on architectural reconstructions in the head and neck, such as cleft lip/palate, cleft rhinoplasty, and ear anomalies.

Dr. Ganske received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School. She also earned a joint Masters of Public Administration degree from Harvard Kennedy School of Government, as the recipient of the Zuckerman Fellowship through the Harvard Center for Public Leadership.

Dr. Ganske then completed her clinical training in the Harvard Plastic Surgical Residency, followed by craniofacial fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital. Following her fellowship, Dr. Ganske joined the faculty in the Department of Plastic and Oral Surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital. Her practice includes treatment of children with cleft lip/palate, microtia and prominent ears, craniofacial anomalies and asymmetry, congenital nevi, and vascular anomalies. In addition to a cleft and broad plastic surgery practice in Boston, Dr. Ganske has initiated a partnership between Boston Children’s Hospital and the Cleft Clinic at Maine Medical Center to provide cleft care closer to home for families in Maine.
