Irfan Ahmad MD

Irfan Ahmad, MD, is a board-certified physician bringing more than 15 years of experience in internal medicine to Rhode Island Medicine serving adult patients at two locations in Woonsocket and Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Dr. Ahmad earned his Master’s of Science in Healthcare Administration at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Before entering private practice, he completed a second internal medicine residency at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.

Dr. Ahmad joined the team at Rhode Island Medicine in 2008. He proudly holds membership in the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association and is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

When he isn’t treating individuals or developing custom care plans, Dr. Ahmad serves as the Medical Director at Oakland Grove Health Center in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. From 2016-2019, Dr. Ahmad was also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University.
