Ivan Arteaga-gonzalez

Dr. Ivan Jesus Arteaga Gonzalez is an expert in the treatment of obesity, Extraordinary Doctorate Award from the University of La Laguna (ULL), and specialist via MIR from the University Hospital of the Canary Islands (HUC). Professor of the Department of Surgery of the ULL, he has completed his training during long stays in Centers of Excellence in Laparoscopic Surgery: Hospital Clíníc de Barcelona (2002); Laparoscopic Center of South Florida (2003), Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery Associates-San Francisco University, California (2006); National Cancer Center, Tokyo (2016); Metabolic Cerrahi, Istanbul (2017) and Yonsei Cancer Center, Seoul (2019). Currently working as an Obesity Surgeon at Obesity Tenerife in Spain.

He is currently a Member of the Spanish Society for Obesity Surgery (SECO), of the Minimally Invasive Surgery and Innovation Section (AEC), and Vice President of the Canary Islands Society of Surgery.
