Dr. Jae Hyun Park is a highly regarded, Board Certified Orthodontist with a strong commitment to clinical education, patient care, and research. He is also the Professor and Director of the Postgraduate Orthodontic Program at the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health. He received the Joseph E Johnson Clinical Award at the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) Table Clinic Competition during the 2011 AAO Annual Session. The AAO also appointed him to be the recipient of the AAO Academy of Academic Leadership Sponsorship Program Award for 2010. He is also a Diplomate of and Examiner for the American Board of Orthodontics.
Park was also selected to serve as the lead judge for the 2013 and 2016 Intel International Science and Engineering Fairs which were held in Phoenix. He judged on behalf of the American Dental Association Foundation (ADAF) and presented three Special Awards representing the ADAF Organization.
Dr. Park was also recently appointed as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO Bulletin). He also serves as an editorial board member of several peer-reviewed orthodontic and dental journals including The Angle Orthodontist, Seminar in Orthodontics, and Journal of Clinical Orthodontics as well as associate editor of World Federation of Orthodontists and Journal of Clinical Pediatric Dentistry. He was recently invited to be a guest editor of Seminars in Orthodontics.
Dr. Park received his undergraduate education from Seoul National University (SNU) where he graduated with honors. He also earned D.M.D., M.S.D., and Ph.D. degrees from the dental school at Kyung Hee University (KHU), one of the most prestigious schools in South Korea. He also completed his Master of Public Health studies at the Graduate School of Public Health at SNU.
After moving to the States, he earned a Master of Science degree from the Graduate School of Arts and Science at New York University, College of Dentistry (NYUCD) and completed the Postgraduate Orthodontic Program there, receiving the Dean’s Award, the 1st place of Master of Science Resident Research Award, and the 1st place of Post Graduate Resident Research Award. Some of his research was submitted for a patent by New York University.
