James D. Chalmers MBChB, PhD, FRCPE, FERS

Professor James D. Chalmers is the British Lung Foundation Chair of Respiratory Research at the University of Dundee and honorary consultant physician at Ninewells Hospital. His clinical and research interests are in respiratory infections including pneumonia, COVID-19, bronchiectasis and COPD. He has chaired a number of international guidelines including the current European Respiratory Society COVID-19 task force. He is currently deputy chief editor of the European Respiratory Journal.
