James M. Dahle BS, MD, FACEP

James M. Dahle, M.D., FACEP, started The White Coat Investor in 2011; now the most widely-read physician-specific personal finance and investing website in the world. He published The White Coat Investor, A Doctor’s Guide to Personal Finance and Investing in 2014. His financial articles have appeared in numerous online and printed publications, and he writes regular columns for Physicians Money Digest and ACEP NOW.

He graduated with a B.S. in molecular biology from Brigham Young University and the University of Utah School of Medicine. He trained at the University of Arizona Emergency Medicine Residency Program, and then served four years with the Air Force and the Navy, practicing medicine in an academic institution, a small community hospital, a trauma center and in military facilities on four different continents. He is now a partner and the department chair with Utah Emergency Specialists, working full-time in a community hospital in the Salt Lake Valley.
