Dr. James Rainville is a physiatrist at New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH). In addition to his work at NEBH, Dr. Rainville holds an academic appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School. He is a member of several professional organizations including the North American Spine Society, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports and Orthopedic Rehab.
Dr. Rainville has written numerous peer-reviewed publications, letters, book chapters, and abstracts. A prolific speaker, he has been invited to lecture and present both nationally and internationally. He has been included in Boston Magazine’s annual list of “Top Doctors” from 2010-2015.
After earning his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Dr. Rainville completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Tufts University Medical School. Dr. Rainville specializes in the medical management of spine conditions, disorders and injuries, and medical musculoskeletal management.
