Jane E. Sullivan PT, DHS, MS has a background in clinical research focused on testing rehabilitation interventions using appropriate standardized measurement tools. Dr. Sullivan was the principal investigator on a study entitled “Afferent Stimulation during Task-specific Exercise Following Stroke”, and was a co-investigator on a NIDRR grant titled, "The Development of A Real-Time Platform for Intuitive Control of Grasp And Release During Functional Arm Activities Following Stroke”. In 2008, she became the course coordinator for a course on neurological outcome measures.

She has utilized electronic venues to promote education in this area, serving as an author on two online learning modules and a podcast on outcome measurement. She was an Associate Editor on the Tests and Measurement section of PTNow. She serves on the APTA Evidence Database to Guide Effectiveness (EDGE) committee. She was co-chair of the StrokEDGE task force. In 2014, Dr. Sullivan was part of a team awarded funding from APTA to develop a Clinical Practice Guideline on Outcome Measurement in neurological clinical practice.
