Dr. Jeffrey Cannon, Ph.D. is currently a Health Economist at The Telethon Kids InstituteTelethon. Jeff completed his Ph.D. in health economics at the University of Western Australia and is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Jeff obtained honors in mathematics after completing a double degree with a Bachelor of Science and Business. His current research focuses on the health, social, and economic burdens caused by group A streptococcal (GAS) diseases and the economic evaluation of GAS prevention and control strategies. The outcomes of the evaluations guide policy decisions around the implementation of currently available strategies, as well as public and commercial investment decisions in progressing GAS vaccine development.
