Dr. Jeffrey Krane is a staff cytopathologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, most recently serving as Associate Director of Cytology and the Chief of Head and Neck Pathology as well as Associate Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School. After 26 years at BWH, Dr. Krane will be joining the UCLA Department of Pathology in June 2019. He has served on the Executive Board of the American Society of Cytopathology and is currently an Associate Editor of the journal Cancer Cytopathology.
Dr. Krane has broad research interests in head and neck neoplasia with a particular focus in thyroid and salivary gland cytopathology. He has co-authored/contributed to several books including The Bethesda System for Reporting Thyroid Cytopathology and The Milan System for Reporting Salivary Gland Cytopathology.
