Dr. Jochen Mellinghoff began his career as a general dentist in his own practice in Ulm. Always interested in the connections between medicine and dentistry, he started his course concept for prevention and oral health. Since then he has taught and assisted dentists in practice management and treatment planning. It includes courses for implantologists with live surgeries they perform themselves, and courses in practice hygiene and prevention. He is particularly interested in the prosthetic positioning of implants and their prosthetic restoration. Therefore, he completed a curriculum for implant prosthetics. There was also a 3year postgraduate course in oral surgery at the Danube University in Krems, Austria. There he wrote the first scientific publication on ceramic implants worldwide in 2006. The years that followed were filled with dental practice, research, and publications. His topics are implants with minimally invasive surgical procedures, surgical procedures, and quality management. He lectures at many congresses in Europe and is currently in the USA for the first time. He has had experience with ceramic implants since 2004. Main areas of activity: implantology, periodontology, aesthetics, holistic dentistry.
