John Gareth Llewelyn BSc, MD, FRCP

Gareth is a consultant neurologist based in south-east Wales. Brought up in north Wales, he studied medicine in Cardiff and returned to Wales after 12 years of neurology research and training in London. 

He has established a new acute neurology service in Gwent which supports the medical intake and is integrated with the stroke service. He has also developed a tertiary peripheral nerve service, and he is clinical lead of the Wales Neuromuscular Network, which brings together the specialist skills of therapists, care advisers and clinicians across Wales.
