John J. Walker MD, CPE

John J. Walker, MD, CPE is the chief transformation officer for CHESS, a population health services organization based in High Point, North Carolina. A gastroenterologist by training, Dr. Walker transitioned to a role in physician leadership in 2010, becoming Cornerstone Health Care’s first Chief Medical Officer. During this time, he was responsible for implementing Cornerstone’s quality program, development of its clinical service lines and its infrastructure to accomplish the move from fee-for-service to value-based medicine.
