Dr. Jordan M. Symons, MD, is Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine and an Attending Nephrologist at Seattle Children's Hospital, where he treats general nephrology, kidney transplant, and dialysis patients. He received his MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, completed a pediatric residency at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, and completed his fellowship in pediatric nephrology at Children's Hospital in Boston.
Dr. Symons area of clinical interest is in renal replacement therapies and acute kidney injury. He is the center PI for the Prospective Pediatric Acute Kidney Injury (ppAKI) network, a multi-center consortium investigating the causes and treatment of pediatric acute kidney injury. Dr. Symons other major area of academic interest is in medical education. He serves as the program director for the Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship at Seattle Children's Hospital and as co-director for pediatric education at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
