Dr. Joseph Karam, MD, MBA, FSVS, FACS, RPVI, is a vascular and endovascular surgeon at the Minneapolis Heart Institute at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.
He grew up in Lebanon. He graduated from College Louise Wegmann with a French Baccalaureate degree and then attended the American University of Beirut where he obtained a BS in Biology and his medical degree. After 3 years of General Surgery training at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, he moved to the United States where he completed his general surgery training at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and a Vascular Surgery fellowship at the Washington University School of Medicine in St.Louis. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery.
His professional interests in vascular surgery include cerebrovascular disease, aneurysms and dissections, peripheral arterial disease, hemodialysis access, venous disease, and thoracic outlet syndrome.
