Dr. Joseph Mather is a Tulane University School of Medicine and Public Health graduate, and focuses on integrating conventional and functional medicine to optimize patient healing. His diverse experience includes studying tuberculosis programs in Malaysia, completing a family practice residency, and practicing in New Zealand.
Driven by a desire to address chronic conditions, he transitioned to functional medicine, working at the Center for Longevity and Wellness and serving as Medical Director of the Ruscio Institute. He has since established a private practice specializing in chronic GI issues, environmental toxicity, and preventative care, catering to patients who haven’t found relief through other methods.
Dr. Mather is known for his practical, cost-effective approach, attracting patients referred by practitioners nationwide. He is passionate about delivering accessible and effective care. Beyond his practice, he enjoys family time, exercise, and playing the drums, balancing his dedication to medicine with personal interests.
