Juan Juarez MD, MSc

Juan Gurria, MD was born and raised in Medico City, Mexico. He attended medical school at the Universidad Anahuac Escuela de Medicine. He completed residency training at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. He completed a Pediatric Trauma Surgery fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital followed by a Surgical Critical Care fellowship at Nationwide Children's Hospital. He is a Pediatric Surgeon, at the Division of General and Thoracic Pediatric Surgery, Director, Surgical Critical Care, Division of General and Thoracic Pediatric Surgery, and Assistant Professor, at the UC Department of Surgery Mayo Clinic School of Medicine and Science.
