Judith Wolf is a professor of social care at the Department of Primary Care at Radboud university medical center. She is the director of Impuls – Research Center for Social Care and of Impuls Academy for training & coaching and implementation processes of strength interventions (Krachtwerk, Critical Time Intervention) and of Impuls Werkplaats, a partnership of 20 organizations from healthcare and welfare, municipalities and knowledge platforms. Judith has over 35 years of experience in researching groups of people with complex, multiple problems, often on the margins of society. An important theme in her research is the relationship between social exclusion (in particular homelessness and also poverty and material deprivation) and health. She leads major research projects, such as effectiveness studies (eg into Critical Time Intervention in social shelters and women's shelters and into Krachtwerk among homeless young people), cohort studies (including among homeless people in the four major cities; Coda-G4), studies into determinants of social exclusion and its prevention (including large-scale study among people at risk of eviction) and program evaluations such as Housing First and Krachtwerk-Mobility Mentoring (Impuls research center). With the development, implementation, and assurance of the Krachtwerk method, it invests in integrated, person-oriented care for vulnerable people in numerous sectors and in the so-called social domain. This method focuses on strengthening people's participation and self-management. Power work has been applied in almost 70 healthcare organizations in the Netherlands, with various target groups. Wolf also developed instruments such as the Taxation of Social Exclusion (Tax-Su), the Consumer Quality Index for Reception (together with Mariëlle Beijersbergen), and the Krachtkompas. With partners in Impuls Werkplaats, she is working on strengthening conditions for a protected home' for vulnerable citizens, including in the context of the implementation of the advice on sheltered housing (2015). With these partners - especially with clients and professionals - she developed innovative frameworks, such as the Frame of Reference for social care: 'No one between two stools' and she works on strengthening self-management, experiential expertise, and informal care and on innovations in social care for people. who find it difficult to survive in society. the Consumer Quality Index for Reception (together with Mariëlle Beijersbergen) and the Power Compass.
