Juliana Yaochite PhD

Juliana Navarro Ueda Yaochite graduated in Biological Sciences (Licenciatura and Bachelor's Degree) from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP, Campus Rio Claro). Her Master's and Doctor's degrees in Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine of the Ribeirao Preto/University of Sao Paulo, Basic Immunology Program and Applied (7 CAPES Concept). She has experience in handling laboratory animals, cell culture, flow cytometry, histological and immunochemical techniques, as well as immunoenzymatic assays. She is currently a Professor at the Federal University of Ceara (UFC), Faculty of Pharmacy, Dentistry and Nursing, Department of Clinical and Toxicological Analysis, teaching the Discipline of Basic Immunology and Current Immunology for the undergraduate course in Pharmacy. The research carried out covers the use of medicinal plants in the processes of regeneration and modulation of the immune response; evaluation of immunological and molecular markers in leprosy and investigation of immunoregulatory mechanisms in arboviruses, COVID-19, and inflammatory diseases. It is part of the Graduate Program in Medical Microbiology at UFC (PPGMM).
