Dr. Junko Tanaka, PhD graduate school of medical sciences, Epidemiology and Disease Control. In Junko Tanaka laboratory, in order to prevent diseases and control countermeasures, Junko Tanaka conducting theoretical epidemiological research at the same time as laboratory research, and pursuing evidence that leads to policy proposals. We conduct NDB analysis, theoretical epidemiology, cost-effectiveness, medical statistics, simulation, viral gene analysis, immunoserology, standardization of measurement system, and epidemiology research related to blood business. In hepatitis virus research, we are conducting epidemiological surveys in Japan and overseas such as Cambodia and Brukina Faso to take measures against hepatitis and liver cancer. Epidemiological research on the new coronavirus has also begun. It is also important to develop human resources in the fields of epidemiology and disease control through the education of MPH School of Public Health and PhD.
