Junko Tokuno MD, MSc, PhD

Dr. Junko Tokuno is a thoracic surgeon from Kyoto, Japan. She has been enthusiastic about making surgery more manageable and more comfortable for surgeons.

Dr. Tokuno completed the Master of Science program in Experimental Surgery, with a concentration in Surgical Education, at McGill University. The theme of her research is Digital Education and the Design of Simulation Training.

Dr. Tokuno expects those new teaching methods using technology will lead to more efficient surgical and medical training. Her research interests are Thoracic Surgery, Surgery, Lung Surgery, Lung Diseases, Minimal Invasive Surgery, Airway Reconstruction, Tracheal Resection, Lung Transplantation, and Chest Wall Resection.
