Jurgen Gschwend MD, PhD

Prof. Jurgen Gschwend studied medicine at LMU Munich and passed his examination in 1988 and received his doctorate. He then followed clinical training at the University Hospital at the Ulm. In 1995 he went to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York as a DFG Fellow. In 1998 he habilitated on the subject of apoptosis induction in prostate carcinoma.

Since 2006, he has been the director of the Urological Clinic and Polyclinic of the Technical University of Munich. He is also a professor of urology at the Technical University of Munich and holds the chair of Urology.
