Karen T. Pitman MD, FACS

Karen T. Pitman MD, FACS currently serves as the Medical Director of the Milton J. Dance Jr, Head and Neck Center. Dr. Pitman graduated from the University of Maryland prior to receiving her medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda MD. She completed her otolaryngology residency at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth VA and fellowship training in Advanced Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

She specializes in tumors of the tongue, oral cavity, throat, larynx, thyroid, parathyroid glands and salivary glands, and advanced skin cancers. Dr. Pitman’s clinical interests include quality of life in head and neck cancer patients, premalignant lesions, and young patients with head and neck cancer.
